It is a new day! Do you know why? Well of course, His mercies are new everyday. But, I really feel renewed after the celebration of Easter yesterday. Easter meaning the anniversary celebration of the day Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead. Our risen savior, He isn't dead but He is alive. And we are alive in Him. And that we need not fear the present times or all our uncertainties because He is here. Let the dust settle because He has won and overcome- put your face to His face and feel his breath on your face. Go to him and start new today.
I realize today is a gift. Yesterday was magnificent in history, and today may feel like your back to your regular mundane schedule- but it is not that. It is a chance to proceed with your purpose being His purpose, your hope resting in His promises and your life renewed in Him. Yes, we stay home. But what seeds will we be planting in this season? Seeds of life, newness, love, joy, peace, patience, goodness,.. or seeds of sin, joylessness, defeat, fear, anxiety, death. It is during the time where you have time that you come face to face the decision- who is it that I am going to listen to? And what will I believe about myself and the day that I will have?
Galations 6:9 says," So let's not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." All of us have a choice to make. What kind of harvest do you want depends on what you sow today and the next and the next. Don't let the devil deceive you to make you believe that these days don't count or it doesn't matter because they do. Your decisions and your thoughts and action have power for those around you. Yes, even when you are quarantined... especially when you are quarantined. The answer is right in front of you.
Love you all immensely and hope with all my heart that you live your lives for Jesus Christ. I write this not to judge or because I am perfect, but rather because these are things that I have been fighting for in my daily life. Yes, I have fallen off the horse several times during quarantine- it is so easy to do. But, I have realized that Jesus is as much risen that day so many years ago as He is risen today. I want to just start anew in Him. Living my days believing in Him more than doubt or fear.
The Heavens do rule.
